Bill is the Practice
Administrator for Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster where he is
responsible for the operations and day-to-date business activities.
Bill received his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Penn
State University.
A member of HFMA since 1966, Bill achieved fellowship status in
2004, and Follmer Bronze Status in 2001. Bill participated in HFMA
as Program Chair, Legislative Chair and a board member.
In addition to HFMA, Bill is active in Rotary and support his
daughter’s involvement in horse riding and related competitions. |

Richard has been the Chief
Financial Officer at Memorial Hospital in York, Pennsylvania, since
2003. Prior to relocating to south central Pennsylvania, he was the
Regional Manager in charge of the Baltimore/Washington DC office of
McBee Associates. Richard was the Chief Financial Officer at Sibley
Memorial Hospital, Washington DC, and the Assistance Vice President,
Finance, at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He also served as Healthcare
Consulting Manager in the Harrisburg offices of Coopers and Lybrand. As
proof that all things come full circle, Richard began his career in
health care finance in 1982 as Cost/Budget Supervisor at Memorial
Hospital, York, Pennsylvania.
Richard earned a BA from Bucknell University, a MSW from the University
of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of
Management at Northwestern University. Richard also is a Certified
Public Accountant.
Richard has been a member of
HFMA since 1983. He was a member of the Appalachian Chapter from 1983 to
1994, when he served as various committee chairs and board positions.
From 1994 to 2003, Richard was a chapter member of the D.C. Chapter and
served as a member of the board. After relocating back to York,
Pennsylvania, Richard has served as a board member with the Appalachian
Chapter since 2003. |

Marilyn began working at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill in
March 1980 as their Reimbursement Specialist and has recently been
promoted to Reimbursement Manager. Prior to Holy Spirit, Marilyn worked in the Provider Payment department at
Capital Blue Cross as an auditor. She earned her Associates
Degree in Accounting from Harrisburg Area Community College in 1974 and
a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bloomsburg State College
in 1976.
Marilyn has been a
member of the Appalachian Chapter since August 1995, and serving as
Treasurer is her first official involvement in HFMA. |

Patty is the Director of
Patient Business Services at PinnacleHealth System. She is responsible for the
departments of Patient Accounts, Professional Billing, and Patient
Access. Previously, she had
been employed with Capital Blue Cross. Patty received her B.S. in Business Administration from Shippensburg
University and MBA in Healthcare Management Systems from DeSales
University, Allentown.
As a
member of HFMA since 1990, Patty achieved Fellowship certification
in 1993, Certified Manager of Patient Accounts in 1996, Certified
Managed Care Professional in 1996, and received the Follmer Bronze
Merit Award in 2000. She also participated as a delegate in HFMA US/UK Exchange Program
during the summers of 1996 and 1997. Her chapter involvement has
included Co-Chair of the Legislative & Reimbursement Committee and
she has been on the Board of Directors since 2002.
In
addition to her involvement in HFMA, Patty is a board member on the
Tri-County Association for the Blind. She is also a member of the
steering committee and leadership giving captain for the Camp Hill
Lion Foundation.
