The Follmer Bronze AwardThe William G. Follmer Bronze Award is awarded after an individual has earned 25 (formerly 100) member points. This award is named after William G. Follmer, who is credited with the creation of the American Association of Hospital Accountants (AAHA)—now HFMA. Chapter recipients of this award.

The Reeves Silver AwardAwarded to an individual who has earned 50 (formerly 200) total member points. The award is named in honor of Robert H. Reeves, an organizing member of AAHA, elected president during 1956. Chapter recipients of this award.

The Muncie Gold AwardPresented to a member who has earned 75 (formerly 300) member points. This award honors Frederick T. Muncie, an organizing member and the first president (1947-1949) of the AAHA.  Chapter recipients of this award. 

Founders Medal of HonorAdded during 1986, this award is conferred by nominations from the Board of Directors. This award recognizes members who have been involved in HFMA for at least three years after earning the Muncie Gold Award, who have provided significant service at the chapter and/or National level during at least two of those years, and who remain members in good standing. Chapter recipients of this award.

Award points accumulate throughout the year. To earn points for holding office, a member must hold that office for at least six months of a chapter's fiscal year. Member points are transferred automatically from one chapter to another. Retroactive scoring of points is allowed if appropriate documentation is provided. Members should check with their Founders contact to review their points before sending documentation to National.
